I could go on and on and on.įor each one of those decisions, you have to make a different ending to suit that, as many times these decisions will have various effects that some way alter the other (like Novac defending itself from NCR and the Legion or not). Things like Vault 19, NCRCF, the Misfits, Novac, Jacobstown, the myriad of things you do in Freeside. One for each companion, one for each major faction, and then at least one for each minor faction, and not to mention all the little things you did. It's overpowered as all hell and you'll trivialize the game and end up bored.It ends because they don't have the sheer manpower and resources to make it continue, nor is there anything worth to continue playing with.Īssuming you played through most of the quests, you'll notice that the ending slideshow takes a fucking long time simply due to much epilogue it must go through. My advice is, pick it up on sale, don't go into it with high expectations, and you should have a decent time.Īlso, don't make a stealth build. It's not that it's unfinished, but they could have fleshed it out more, a lot more, but at some point they had to release it so they could earn their paycheck. In short, it's an alright game, but you can tell that it's basically just the foundation. The choice aspect that is often touted as one of the game's strong points isn't that pronounced either - basically, it boils down to "pick a faction you like and fuck up the others, or pick none at all and fuck up absolutely everyone".
It's a slightly different take than usual on the save-the-world plot, but ultimately it's still a save-the-world plot. Enemy variety is poor (though what is there, outside of your standard human enemies, is neat) and there aren't that many mission types.Īs for the story, it's also alright.
Guns are generic though, even though it's kind of a looter shooter.
